General Warranty

Warranty

American Shower Door Corporation products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty to the purchaser of any new shower door or new shower door part manufactured by American Shower Door Corporation in our Los Angeles, CA facility, that the product or part shall be free from defects in material and
workmanship for the (Life of the Product) from the date of purchase. American Shower Door Corporation agrees to repair or replace any defective part at no charge to the purchaser within the warranty period subject to the following conditions.

  • This limited warranty applies only to materials and workmanship supplied by American Shower Door Corporation.
  • This limited warranty does not cover glass provided by others or outside fabrication, such as on Knock Down Units (KD) or Lineals.
  •  This limited warranty does not cover defects in material or workmanship caused by improper installation of the product; use of improper cleaning products or materials; and or caused by accidents, owner or installer negligence, alterations, abuse or misuse or other mechanical abuse.
  •  This limited warranty is limited to the replacement of the defective product or part originally sold by the American Shower Door Corporation or at American Shower Door Corporation sole discretion, the payment to the original user of the original purchase price for the purchase price paid to American Shower Door Corporation.
  •  American Shower Door Corporation is not responsible for the removal or reinstallation of any product requiring warranty service or the cost unless otherwise approved by American Shower
    Door Corporation.
  • The shipping cost to replace product or parts covered by this warranty is the responsibility of
    the original user.
  • Claims for visual manufacturing defects should be reported immediately. Commencement of the
    installation by the contractor/installer will constitute the contractor’s/installer’s acceptance of the
    materials and job site conditions.
  • Claims for mechanical issues or improper performance should be reported within 5 days of
    installation. Anything arising after this period will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, at
    American Shower Door’s discretion. Documentation of proper installation/application and any
    problems will be required for review.
  • American Shower Door does NOT warrant glass for scratches, chips, water spots, breaking, or
    any other defect after installation. Any surface treatments are covered by their respective
    manufacturers directly. (i.e.-Endurosheild or Guardian Industries’ “Showergaurd”)

American Shower Door Corporation Warranty, continued

This warranty does not cover damage resulting from normal wear from usage, loss, alteration, accident, misuse or abuse or lack of reasonable care in either the installation or use of the product or part No responsibility is assumed by American Shower Door Corporation for and special, incidental, or consequential damages. If there is any defect in workmanship or material, American Shower Door’s
liability is solely limited to replacement of material stated. American Shower Door Corporation reserves the right to determine if the defective part or product is to be replaced and or repaired.

Any claims for replacement and or rework must be pre-approved by American Shower Door Corporation. It is expressively agreed that this warranty is the exclusive and only warranty made by American Shower Door Corporation and is in place and in lieu of all express and implied warranties of merchantability and
fitness for a particular purpose.

This limited warranty is expressively in lieu of all other warranties, whether expressed or implied, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and all other obligations or liabilitieson the part of American Shower Door Corporation.

Laws and regulations governing the installation, design and use of bath enclosures in building applications vary widely. American Shower Door Corporation does not have any control over the selection of product configuration, actual installation, operating hardware or glazing material, and American Shower Door Corporation assumes no responsibility thereof. American Shower Door Corporation dealers agree to furnish a copy of this limited warranty to all customers who purchase the product from the dealer.
